A brewery that uses local agricultural products to brew alcohol using traditional Korean liquor brewing methods.
Known for its Oyangju, a fine liquor made by reinterpreting traditional brewing techniques and using a five-step addition of ingredients.
Representative products include Cheonbihyang Saengju (unrefined rice wine), Cheonbihyang Yakju (refined rice wine) fermented for 3 months and aged for 3 months, and Cheonbihyang Hwaju (distilled liquor) distilled from Cheonbihyang Yakju. Cheonbihyang, selected as the state dinner liquor for the Blue House and the ASEAN Summit, was recognized once again for its prowess by winning the Grand Prize in the Yakju category at the Korea Traditional Liquor Competition in 2018 and 2020.
It uses traditional nuruk (Korean yeast starter) made from wheat and aims for the pure fermented aroma and taste of grains without any additives.
