I watched the play 'The Old Thieves' about 10 years ago.
I wanted to rewatch it because I had fond memories of enjoying it.
I applied for an invitation event on Happy Money and won!
The impressive Art One Theater building.

Today's Cast
I had previously seen a performance by actor Park Cheol-min,
and I got to see him perform again this time.
I can't remember who played the Old Thieves and the Detective roles though ^^;;
Synopsis
Two old thieves are released from prison thanks to a presidential pardon upon inauguration.
Dreaming of one last score for their retirement plan, they infiltrate 'that person's' art museum.
'That person's' art museum boasts an enormous fortune and immense prestige, housing works by world-renowned modern artists. However, the two old thieves, oblivious to the value of these works, only have their eyes on 'that person's' vault.
While anxiously guarding the vault until the guard dogs fall asleep, the two are eventually dragged to the interrogation room...
A detective trying to establish a non-existent criminal accomplice and an equally nonexistent ideological background,
and the two old thieves spouting nonsensical ramblings – a hilariously absurd comedy unfolds!

Due to a mistake by the theater group, all seats except for the first three rows were put up for sale.
Before the performance started, they announced that anyone who wanted to could move to the front rows,
so I was able to watch the show from closer to the stage.
The performance was engaging, with the actors interacting with the audience, whether it was from the script or improvised. It was hard to tell sometimes!
It's a play that delivers both fun and laughter.
The occasional inclusion of topical issues seems to enhance the humor even further.
It seems that the performance is revised to reflect the current times, so even if you've seen it before, it feels fresh each time.
I highly recommend this play – it's easy to see why it's been loved for over 20 years.
