A play I watched at the 2021 Seoul Theatre Festival
I received tickets for the encore performance this time,
and headed to the theater.
Arrival at the theater
It's my first time visiting this theater, and it seems to have hosted various productions.
Performance poster
They also operate a library, which is great for waiting for the performance.
Cast
It's a story about killers employed by a mysterious organization called Choi-sa.
By delving into the nature of the company that hires these killers, the play satirizes the pro-Japanese collaborators who laid the foundation for our modern history,
and aims to critique the prejudice our society harbors against minorities and the vulnerable, including the elderly and women.
Furthermore, the play incorporates a thrilling chase sequence through the city, scenes of snipers hitting their targets,
a variety of gunfights, props, video and sound effects, and dynamic movements
to enhance the overall spectacle.
The actors' highly polished movements, honed through rigorous training,
will offer viewers a stunning visual feast of high-level stage aesthetics.

Curtain Call
Even though I had seen this play once before, the stage design and special effects were still incredibly impressive.
It's a production that continually surprises you, not only with its story but also with its artistic elements.
I highly recommend 'No Country for Old Men and Women'.
