One of the three major granite mountains in Korea, along with Seoraksan and Wolchulsan,
mountains like Taehangsan, Daedunsan, and Wanggeoam in the western part of the Bukhan Mountain range form a horseshoe shape
creating a magnificent mountain landscape.
With its unique rock formations, Yongchu Falls, and Jeonggu Falls, it was formed by lava flowing down 70 million years ago,
composed of solidified welded tuff, creating a unique scenery.

Stamp and take a commemorative photo
Along the road leading up from the parking lot, there are many restaurants,
and restaurants provide water as a service along with business cards.
I received a bottle of water and went up, but in front of Daejeonsa Temple,
there was a ticket booth collecting entrance fees, so I turned back.
On the way down, I had a meal at the restaurant where I had received the water.
I wonder why I have to pay an entrance fee without even visiting Daejeonsa Temple.
I wish they would allow hikers to pass through for free. After the meal, I moved to Jusanji.
Jusanji is a reservoir that was started in August 1720, the first year of King Gyeongjong's reign in the Joseon Dynasty, and completed the following October. With a length of 200m and an average water depth of about 8m, Jusanji has never had its bottom exposed, even during the longest droughts since its completion. Under Jusanji lies a dense and hard rock called welded tuff, formed by the adhesion of hot volcanic ash, with non-welded tuff and sedimentary rocks piled on top, forming a large bowl-like terrain.
When it rains, the non-welded tuff and sedimentary rock layers absorb water like a sponge and release it gradually, maintaining such abundant water resources. In particular, Jusanji is home to over 150-year-old weeping willows, whose beautiful scenery attracts many tourists. Jusanji, where rocks, water, and trees harmoniously coexist, presents different landscapes in each season and is a valuable natural heritage, designated as National Treasure Scenic Spot No. 105 in 2013.
