Taean Coastal National Park was designated as the 13th national park in Korea in 1978.
It spans 230 km of coastline along the Taean Peninsula and Anmyeon Island, featuring 27 beaches, and covers a total area of 377.019㎢. Since ancient times, the area has been known as Taean (泰安), meaning 'great peace', due to its mild climate, abundant food supply, and the absence of major natural disasters, making life relatively comfortable. The park boasts the beautiful scenery unique to the West Sea, with mudflats, sand dunes, oddly shaped rocks, and numerous islands of various sizes stretching along the ria coast. As the only coastal national park in Korea with diverse coastal ecosystems, Taean Coastal National Park holds immense conservation value.

I received a stamp at the Nammyeon Sub-office.
The Nammyeon Sub-office is located in the Mongsanpo Beach parking lot.
I visited the beach during sunset and watched it.
The sun wasn't very clear because of the cloudy weather.
